Jaguar’s only real supercar – the Jaguar XJ220 – is 20 years old, and to celebrate Jaguar has released a new set of photos. And we have original XJ220 video. When sports car makers – like Ferrari and Porsche - were delivering the world supercars like the F40 and 959 in the eighties, Jaguar had nothing to compete despite as noble a racing history.
Mercedes-Benz will build a fifth variant off its future A- and B-class compact-car platform. The model will be a so-called "shooting brake," company sources said, adding that the low-slung sporty station wagon will start arriving at European dealerships in 2014. The car will most likely be called the CLC Shooting Brake, the sources said.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC raises £240k for Children in Need
The 2012 Bentley Continental GTC was only revealed at Frankfurt in September, and is currently getting its North American debut in L.A. But Bentley have already sold one to a generous UK buyer who stumped up £240k at a charity auction last night in aid of BBC Children in Need. The event – at Manchester’s Hilton Hotel and organised by Bentley Manchester – was hosted by the seemingly ubiquitous Gary Barlow, and had in attendance a plethora of celeb faces, including Lorraine Kelly, JLS, Chris Moyles and – as it’s Children in Need – Sir Tel of Wogan.
